On his last visit home to India, Boyfriend brought me back all these fantastic tops in a ton of colors, but this one is my favorite, hands down. It has such an interesting blend of jewel tones I would never normally think to have together in one place. The cool wrapping style makes me think of a sari or kimono, both of which I adore (A full sari is bloody hard to wear, I've learned! Talented Indian ladies!). I also dig the pint-sized mirrors all throughout the detailing; they're like sequins that grew up one day and got a smoother complexion!
Word of advice from your friend and humble cheapwad here; clearance sections can blow. Your. Mind. I SELDOM set foot in Loft, unless it's work clothes shopping with Mama, but this time I poked my way around to the register in back, and that's where I chanced upon these.
Their price stamp had the markdown sticker conga line going on all the way down to...drum roll...TEN BUCKS! For a pair of Ann Taylor Shoes, that's as good as handing them to you with a big ol' bow on top! They work so well with the tunic from the matching gold, and because their style looks more elegant slipper than ballet flat. Basic jeans make everything chill instead of too costume-like.
More shininess required! This is SO much better than a solid gold cuff, because look, it's a snake! Oh snap, reptile on my wrist, son! It's good for being a statement piece that's also subtle, since you can't see the shape and lovely scaly detailing from average standing distance. To match the mirror-sequins, I finished off the look with these gold and silver earrings. They make such a pretty tinkling sound next to your ear!
