This dress was originally supposed to be for my The Secret World of Arrietty
costume-which, if you haven't seen it, is another example of why Hayao
Miyazaki is the shining example of why traditional animation should
never die-but this getup reminds me more of the latest Doctor Who
companion, Clara/Oswin. I think it's the belt.

A special goodie from my Easter basket, some striped flats pick up the red as well as tossing a bundle of other colors into the mix! The beauty of these is that they can work with so many other solid color dresses; I have a cobalt one that would be just as nifty. A touch of thin black piping gives them some extra definition.
With that much stripey craziness, accessories are all black simplicity. A wide black stretchy belt works MIRACLES with any shapeless dress or long top, take my word for it. This funky little obelisk-y pendant came from Boyfriend after a summer back home in India! And for the cherry on top, your basic black bangles. Fin!
